You can read about the various books on Raleigh at Budleigh libraries, including Fairlynch Museum’s, at http://raleigh400.blogspot.com/2018/02/reading-about-raleigh-in-budleigh-3.html

Most of those books are for adult reading but Budleigh Library has a large children’s membership. A special Raleigh-themed drawing competition for children was held to mark the museum display of books dedicated to Sir Walter.

Evie Pengilley (5), Thomas Franklin (6) and Elsa Patterson (12) won the competition. Lucy Dixon (5), Isla Dixon (8), John Patterson (8) and Jessica Sweetman (9) were the runners-up.

The Library also held a Raleigh-themed poetry competition for adults to mark the start of Fairlynch Museum’s Raleigh 400 exhibition. The winner was Peter Simmonds.
