A Ramble with Raleigh (1)


Working with schools is something that most museums like to do and Fairlynch Museum is always ready to welcome groups of pupils studying a particular topic like geology or railways. Short guides to what the museum holds in the way of items relevant to a topic are being prepared. 

The guides are not just for teachers of course.

Included in the guides are ideas for class activities and also relevant places to visit in the local area. A Ramble with Raleigh is a 10-page pdf which can be emailed to teachers on request. 

It’s been prepared to link in with Fairlynch’s Raleigh 400 exhibition. But it’s not intended to be definitive. New ideas pop up all the time, so if you’re a teacher with a bright idea for its improvement please let us know and we can update it easily enough.
